MARGARET E. DONOVAN

DONOVAN, MARGARET E. - The death of Margaret E. (Cusack) Donovan, widow of Leo (Charles) Donovan of Sandy Point Road occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 12th, 2008. Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late CJ Steve and Margaret (McLaughlin) Cusack. Margaret was a life long resident of Saint John but had resided in Ontario for a time and wintered in Okeechobee, Florida and more recently summered in St. Martins, where she enjoyed walks on the beach. She had been employed as a lab assistant at the Lancaster DVA Hospital in Saint John and the DVA Westminster Hospital in London, ON. She was an avid reader and loved her crossword puzzles as well as lighthouses and anything Irish. Margaret is survived by three daughters, Patricia Hay, Doreen (Aubrey) Akerley and Mary Margaret Zulauf; three brothers Dan (Eleanor) Cusack, Bill Cusack and Donald (Eileen) Cusack; 2 sisters Veronica Cusack and Mary (Bruce) Harrigan; sister in law Wanda (Cusack) Cushing; grandchildren Bonnie Hay-Whynot (Tim), Veronica O'Neill (Patrick), Kimberly Sanderson (Doug), Robbie Akerley (Bonnie), Amy Akerley (Troy), Deanne Harrison (Patrick), Gillian Zulauf, Joshua Zulauf and Donovan Zulauf; great grandchildren Amanda, Morgan, Kevin, Candance, Conner, Ethan, Kyla, Jacob, Nicholas and Hannah; one great great granddaughter Alexis and close family friends Francis Casey, Rita Harley, Vangie Stewart and Family and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, Sid, Gregory and Francis; and a sister, Dorothy; and dear friend, Lloyd Renaud. Resting at the Cavanagh Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Tuesday, 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Pius X Church on Wednesday June 18th at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in St. Josephs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Mass on T.V. National Catholic Broadcasting Council, 21 Dunlop Street, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 2M6 or charity of the donor's choice.
