MUNRO, ROBERT BEWS - The death of Robert Bews Munro, loving husband of Dorothy (Maisey) Munro, occurred on Wednesday September 2, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1932 in Midland, Kings County, NB he was the son of the late Joseph and Maggie (Bews) Munro. Robert was a Mechanic for Saint John Transit for 45 years, retiring in 2002. Besides his loving wife, Dorothy of 47 years, he is survived by his children Robert B.G. Munro (Victoria) of Quispamsis, Angela Merritt (Robert) of Saint John, Victor Munro of Sussex and Marilyn Munro of Sussex; grandchildren Lauryn and Morgan Munro, Richard, Amanda and Rylan Merritt; sisters-in-law Rita Munro, Karen Bolton; brother-in-law Gerald Maisey (Judy); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his infant daughter Christine and brother Joseph Munro. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Friday September 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday September 6, 2008 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, followed by a reception at Stella Maris Church Hall.
