ROONEY, BARBARA "BARB" - The death of Barbara "Barb" Rooney occurred on Friday October 24, 2008. Born January 9, 1959, she is the daughter of Theresa Spellman and the late Owen Spellman. Surviving are loving husband of 31 years John Rooney. Sons John (Erin) and Joseph (Kathy) both of Saint John; brothers Brian (Cindy), Owen, David, Michael, All of Saint John; sister Gail (Tommy) Vaughan, Cathy (Matt) Buchanan; Theresa (Steven) Cunningham and Jackie Baker, all of Saint John. She was a cherished grandmother to Isabella "Bella". Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Barb worked as a R.N.A. at The Loch Lomond Villa on the Alzheimer's unit for 25 years. She was a hard working and devoted wife and mother to her husband and sons. She enjoyed family camping, relaxing around her pool, and long nature walks with her two dogs. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John, (646-2424), with visiting from 2-4 and 7-9, today (Monday October 27). Funeral service will be held at 11 am from the chapel at Fundy Funeral Home, interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
