BARTON, RONALD IRVINE - Passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, November 16, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Husband of Carol Ann (Brown) Barton. Born on February 20, 1951 he was the son of the late Irvine and Mary Barton. Besides his wife, he is survived by son, Ronald Barton; daughters, Patricia and Diana Barton; brothers, Bill (Louise), Quispamsis, NB and Wayne (Linda), Dartmouth, NS; sisters, Joan (John) Poulin, of Montréal, Que. and Jane (Phil) Merritt, Queenstown, NB; father-in-law, Melbourne (Mike) Brown and many nieces and nephews. Ron graduated from St. Malachy's Memorial High School and was a former long time employee of Labatts Brewery. He often loved a game of Solitaire or Cribbage and when he was able, he particularly enjoyed watching his son play Baseball. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave. , (634-1701) visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Ronald, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
