It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa McIntyre age 85 formerly of Fourth Street, New Aberdeen and a resident of Victoria Haven Nursing Home, New Aberdeen. Theresa passed away on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 at Victoria Haven.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah (McKenzie) Robinson. Theresa was a member of St. John’s Church, New Aberdeen.
She will be sadly missed by her brother, Alex Robinson, Winnipeg; grandson, Mark Treige; nieces, Lisa Pittman, Sydney, Leela Bates, Halifax, Blanche Robinson, Winnipeg; nephews, Alex (Natasha) Robinson, Winnipeg, Roy McMullen, Fredericton, N.B.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leo Turner McIntyre; son, Roderick Turner McIntyre; sisters, Sister Cecelia Robinson, Halifax, Madelyn Pittman, Sydney Forks, Sarah ‘Hilly’ McMullen, Glace Bay.
There will be no visitation for Theresa McIntyre. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Interment will be in St. Anne’s Cemetery at a later date.
