(Gus) Passed peacefully away after a short and courageous battle with Cancer at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, July 28, 2008 in the presence of his loving family at the age of 72. Predeceased by his parents Augustus and Jessie Sears. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his Soul Mate and Best Friend, Rose (Power). His devoted daughter Kathy Power (Mobile) and dearly loved grandson and "best buddy" Kyle Power; brother William Sears (Joan), Seal Cove; sisters: Teresa Gosine (Raymond), St. John's, Nellie Heffernan (husband, the late John Heffernan), Sheila Lambe (husband, the late Frank Lambe), St. John's; special cousins: Bill Hayes and Janet Breen and many more relatives and friends. A large circle of dearly loved nieces and nephews. A very special lifelong Best Friend - Don Goobie. Special friends at Meadowland Manor Apts in Kilbride and a large circle of very close friends on the Track Road, Horse Chops Cabin Area, Cape Broyle and many friends in Tors Cove especially Wally Power.
