LILLIAN FINN

FINN, LILLIAN - Lillian Finn of Saint John, widow of the late James Finn, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 15th, 2009. Born 1923 in Moncton to the late Albert and Amelia (Stradling) MacDonald. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend; she enjoyed singing, dancing, spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. She adored them and they adored her. Lillian was a member of the Germain Street Baptist Church and the WMS; in her youth she worked at the Eaton's Mail Order Department in Moncton. She will be missed terribly and is survived by her eight children, Sharon Soontiens (Barry), Connie MacDonald (Donald), Marilyn Hampton (Doug), Robert Finn (Shelley), David Finn (Mary Jane) Russell Finn (Linda), Deborah Quigley (Rick) and Karen Finn all of Saint John; one brother, Douglas MacDonald (Arlene) of Ontario; two sisters Kathleen Lawrence (Leonard) of Moncton and Ethel Abbot (Bob) of Richmond, ON; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides her parents and her husband who passed away in 1985; Lillian was predeceased by two brothers, David and Hughie MacDonald. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 20th, 2009 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in Lillian's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
