COSSABOOM, AUDREY FLORENCE - Audrey F. Cossaboom, of Saint John West, passed away on May 30, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Louise (Stringer) McCarthy. Loving wife of Guy Cossaboom. Audrey was a member of the St. Giles United Church. She was a devoted singer and sang in the church choir which was a very important part of her life. She was also an honorary member of the Red Cross. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Lynn Eric Rogers (Opal), of Edmonton, Alberta; brother, Robert McCarthy (Gail), of Saint John; sister, Norah (Moyse) Edwards, Welland, Ontario; two grandsons, Kevin and Scott Rogers; five great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jack McCarthy; sister, Louise Magleave and grandson, Frank Rogers. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) there will be no visitation by Audrey's request. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Giles United Church, Martinon. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens followed by a reception at the St. Giles Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Giles United Church would be appreciated by the family.
