WALTER JESSE FREEZE

FREEZE, WALTER JESSE - Passed away June 24, 2009 at the Ridgewood Veteran's Wing, Saint John after a short illness. He was 91. He lived for 64 years in Saint John. Walter was born in 1917 at Lower Millstream, NB, he was the son of the late Walter S. and Mary (Snider) Freeze. He was married to his wife Bernadette Ann (Hebert) for 64 years, she predeceased him in 2007. Walter served in the 2nd World War from 1941 to 1945 as a Chief Stocker on the Corvette Boat (MTB 462) after the war he became a mechanic fixing cars, then took a plumbing trade and worked for 55 years in the plumbing business. Loved by his family, he is survived by his children, Carol Ann Weyman (Sonny), Melita Freeze, Jack Freeze (Florence) and Marion Freeze, all of Saint John; brother Lawrence Freeze, of Saint John West; sister-in-law, Connie Freeze; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother and four sisters. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will be on Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
