Peacefully in Ottawa, Ont., on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the former Basil O’Neill, greatly missed by son, Russell F. and Fran of Ottawa and daughter, Cathy and Paul Pribas of New York; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters, Kate (John) MacDonald and Thelma (Charlie) Morgan, Glace Bay, Phoebe (Don) Boudreau, Halifax and Dolly (Charles) Balcer, Florida; brothers, Harold (Rosie), Glace Bay, Russell (Masie), Kingston, Tom (Joyce), Toronto.
Predeceased by parents, Earnest and Henrietta (Simmons) Kinslow, Glace Bay; sisters, Mae (William) Milley, Nellie (Baxter) Harris, Etta (Arthur) Boutilier and brothers, Albert (Ida) and Earnest (Margaret).
Early childhood spent in Tablehead area, left Glace Bay in 1952 with husband and family for a series of moves and finally settled in Ottawa. A fantastic daughter, sister, mother, wife and grandmother and a good friend to many; a truly great person.
“Going home,†to Glace Bay for interment at St. Anne’s parish cemetery, at a future date.
In memory of Hazel, a donation to the Salvation Army would be welcomed.
