NESS, EDWARD SHANKLIN - The death of Edward Shanklin Ness, age 79, husband of the late Jane (McLaughlan) Ness, of Belleisle Creek, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. He was born on May 21, 1930 in Belleisle Creek, NB, the son of the late Robert and Mabel (McConnell) Ness. He is survived by sons Joe, Jeff & Winny and John and Melanie Ness; daughters Jane Ness, Donna and Stephen Watters, and Dianne Ness, all of Belleisle Creek; grandchildren, Patrick, Stephanie, Cory, Casey, Sarah and Jacob; brothers Bob and Eleanor Ness, Ray and Helen Ness, Jack and Madeline Ness all of Sussex, Ron and Jean Ness and Allan and Frieda Ness of Belleisle Creek; sisters Hattie Northrup of Fox Hill and Mary and Howard Joynes of Belleisle Creek; sisters-in-law Patricia Ness, Dina and Norman Dykeman, and Elizabeth McLaughlan and Freda McLaughlan; several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers Russell and Donnie. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton with visiting Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Hatfield Point Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009, followed by burial in Union Cemetery, Belleisle Creek.
