He and Audrey also followed their grandchildren in their many sporting activities including many hockey tournaments in NB, NS, PEI, and Maine. In later years he became a keen gardener who loved to grow vegetables of all types on his property on Sherbrooke Street. A few years after the passing of his first wife Audrey, George married Rheta and resided on Hughes Lane in Greendale. He continued his hobby of gardening. After the death of his second wife Rheta, he moved to Chateau de Champlain and was able to enjoy the hospitality of his good friends and excellent staff.
