CORBETT, MERRITT CEDRIC - The death of Merritt Cedric Corbett, age 76, husband of Pauline (Johnson) Corbett, of Apohaqui, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, Sussex, NB, on November 8, 2009. He was born at Dunn's Corner, NB and was the son of the late Walter and Marion (Smith) Corbett. Merritt is survived by his wife; sons David and Anne Marie Corbett, Robert and Anita Corbett, Ronnie and Trina Corbett, Brian and Bertha Corbett all of Apohaqui; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters Georgie and Allan Charters of Sussex, Dorothy Cooper of Smiths Creek; brother Douglas and Margaret Corbett of Sussex; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Kenneth Corbett; grandson Winston; brother-in-law Thomas Cooper. He is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visitation on Tuesday from 3 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Chapel on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 2:00 pm. A private family interment will follow in Riverbank Cemetery.
