MURRAY ARTHUR OLIVER

OLIVER, MURRAY ARTHUR - The death of Mr. Murray Arthur Oliver of Musquash, occurred on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Fairville, on October 25, 1933, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Rose) Oliver. Murray was employed with C.P.R. as an engineer for many years retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Valley Cruisers, NB, Antique Auto and was a 75 year member of St. Columba Presbyterian Church. Besides his loving wife Frances (McKee) Oliver, he is survived by his daughter Donna (John) Harding, Baxters Corner; son, David (Tammy), Quispamsis; sister, Lois (John) McHarg, Saint John West; brother, Norman (Sandra) Oliver, Saint John West; grandchildren, Kathryn and Holly Oliver, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Murray was predeceased by, brothers, Glen and George, sisters, Doris Hawkes and Rose Johnston. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) where visitation will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 1:00 pm from St. Columba Presbyterian Church, Manawagonish Rd. Interment to follow in Lorneville Cemetery, Lorneville. Following the interment a reception will take place at St. Columba Presbyterian Church. Donations, in memory of Murray, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB, the Canadian Diabetes Society or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
