MCCARTHY, THOMAS J. (December 1, 1948 - February 14, 2009) — Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Palliative Care Unit, Sir Leonard A. Miller Centre on Saturday, February 14th, 2009, Thomas McCarthy age 60 years of Holyrood. Predeceased by his parents: Tom and Theresa, his sister Irene, his brother, Brendan. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife and best friend of 38 years Madonna (nee Lundrigan), his children: Tom (Kimberley), Winnipeg, Joy (Eugene) Crowley, Holyrood, Brendan (Christine King), Edmonton, Christopher, Fort McMurray, his six grandchildren whom he adored: Kate, Emily, Sara, Joey, Sam, and two day old Alexander, his brothers and sisters: Laura McCarthy, Terry (Gail), Adrian, Mary (William) Doyle, Barbara (Gerry) McGrath, Theresa (Jerry) Leonard, Joan (Charles) Wiseman, Alice (Gary Bowering), Martin, Catherine (Rory Mayo), Julian (Charlene), and Colin; brother-in-law: Eric Lundrigan (Gloria Atkins), numerous nieces and nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends, especially our friends of 39 years, John and Daphne Crocker. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. , Monday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 with Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood.
