Clayton L. Carter Clayton L. Carter, 69 of Bradley Street, formerly of McLaughlin Drive, Moncton, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday April 15, 2002. Born in Middlesex, NB, son of the late Benjamin and Carrie (Colpitts) Carter. Clayton was self-employed for many years at C.L.Carter and Son , furniture refinishing and had recently retired. He loved gardening; was an accomplished musician, an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed many days with his sons and close friends at his camp in Elgin. Clayton will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, Hilda (Mann); daughters, Peggy (John) Moncton, Kim (Gren) Hillborough; sons, David (Sally) Temperance Vale, Donnie (Michelle) Moncton; grandchildren, Terry, Michael, Meaghan, Timmy, Ashley, Brandon, Jason, Daniel, Benjamin; brothers, Ralph, Moncton, Milford (Eulah), Indian Mountain; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Geraldine (Eric Geldart); his brothers Raymond, Vernon (Evelyn), Ivan (Madeleine), and Len (Vicky). No visitation by request. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Wednesday April 17, 1:30pm, Rev. Clair MacMillan officiating. Refreshments following the service.
