Weldon Chandle Woodworth
Weldon Chandle Woodworth 1904 - 2002 Weldon Chandler Woodworth, of Hillsborough, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 in his 98 year. Born in Weldon Albert Co., NB on September 7, 1904 he was the son of the late Albert and Laura Alice (Stiles) Woodworth. Weldon spent his earlier years in Detroit Michigan. A quiet, gentle man, he was a devoted husband, dad, gramp and papa. He was an avid sportsman having a great interest in the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball team, also he had a special love for horses and skating. He retired in 1969 from the Canadian Gypsum Company in Hillsborough after 20 years Service. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Kathleen (Smith); daughters, Joyce MacFarlane of Hillsborough, Pauline Woodworth of Harvey, and Laura and her husband Philip Tucker of Riverside Albert; sons, Roy of Mississauga, Fraser of Oshawa, and Brian of Hillsborough; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; also by three nieces. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his infant daughter, Esther; grandson, Colin Woodworth in 2001; sister, Edith McGowan and a brother, Harold Woodworth. At his request there will be no public visitation at the Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Brent Hamm officiating. Interment will be in Grey's Island Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to The CNIB Foundation or to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family.
