Dolina \"Doll\" Louise MacAulay, died Jan. 31, 2009, in Toronto, Ont., at the age of 83.
Doll was one of 19 children born to Dan K. MacLeod and Nellie MacLeod. She was born Aug. 28, 1925, in New Waterford.

Dolina married Philip Daniel MacAulay in February 1949 to whom she bore four children. While pregnant (and with three small children), Dolina lost her husband and father in a tragic accident. She was left to raise her children alone, with the help of the good people of New Waterford, to whom she was forever grateful.

She was predeceased by brothers, Chester, Alex and Frank (among others) and survived by sister, Mary, brother, Russell (Nipper), nieces and nephews, Shelly, Kenny, Russell, Danny, Dorothy, Florence, Alex, Lucy, Kao, Loraine, Heidi, Melissa and Russell.

Doll is survived by her children, Daniel and wife, Esther, Chester and wife, Hanna, Louise and husband, Tom and Philip and wife, Susan, Norma, Mickey; her grandchildren, Kim, Kyle, Michael, Darryl, Christopher, Stephen, Christopher, Daniel and Heather; great-grandchildren, Lukas, Kayla, Shauna, Briana, Devon, Kiarra, Kolton, Austin and Conner; and her cat, Peaches.

Dolina was an exceptional person in every way, a woman who by all accounts could light up a room by simply being in it.

To have loved, and been loved, by someone as special as you was truly a privilege. Rest in peace, your work is done; we\'ll be fine.
Her service will be held Friday, Feb. 6 at 2035 Weston Rd., Toronto, Ont.
