Mr. John L. MacKenzie 1914 - 2002 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. John Loggie MacKenzie, husband of Lorna MacKenzie of Henderson Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday, December 7, 2002, at the age of 88. Born in Napan, NB, he was the son of the late William and Elmira (Loggie) MacKenzie. He operated a taxi service in the Miramichi area for over 50 years and was a member of St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi. He is survived by his wife, the former Lorna Gulliver; one daughter, Mrs. Joan MacKenzie (John Moore), of Miramichi; one son, Bliss MacKenzie, of Halifax, N.S.; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Harvey, of Fredericton, Miss Mina MacKenzie, of London, Ont., and Mrs. Katherine Campbell, of Grand Bend, Ont.; two brothers, Gordon MacKenzie (Eleanor), of Moncton and James MacKenzie (Helen), of Napan; one sister in law, Lorna MacKenzie, of Napan; two grandchildren, Lydia and Alexandria. He was predeceased by one son, William; one brother, Byron MacKenzie. Remains are resting at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., with visiting on Sunday evening, from 7-9 pm and Monday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Marys Anglican Church, on Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Alan Reynolds. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Cemetery Fund, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or any charity of the donors choice, would be appreciated by the family.
