Bernice Saunders SUSSEX, NB - The death of Bernice Saunders of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex occurred at her residence on January 5, 2003. She was born August 28, 1928 a daughter of the late Garth and Gladys (Rouse) Marr and wife of the late "Jack" Myles Saunders. She is survived by a daughter Myrna; sisters Mona (Bud) Caldwell of Hartland, Joyce (Howe) McPhee of Penobsquis; brothers, Milton (Peechy) Marr and Carl (Lois) Marr both of Cornhill; a sister-in-law Frances MarrNorthrup of Moncton and a brother-inlaw Harry "Jake" Secord of Penobsquis; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Marjorie Given, Doris Smith, Audrey Secord and a brother Daryl Marr. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506 433-2133) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 8, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Scott Ryder officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Sussex.
