Merlyn Hicks SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Merlyn Hicks, age 76, of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2003. Born in Cookville, he was a son of the late Arrden and Ruby (Chase) Hicks. Merlyn worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator in NB and NS. Merlyn will be sadly missed by a son, Arnold (Mary Ann), Enniskillen, ON; four daughters, Deborah Melanson and Marilyn (Roger) Goodwin both of Sackville, Judy (Chris) Wilson, Moncton and Brenda (Peter) Estabrooks, Lindsay, ON; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three brothers, Carmen (Gracie), Sackville, Floyd (Eunice), British Settlement, Roland (Nita), Napanee, ON; two sisters, Erma (Frank) Bulmer and Daphna (Dick) Harvey, both of Sackville. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Catherine Snowdon and by a brother Calvin. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
