Stephen McCarthy MIRAMICHI, NB - Stephen McCarthy, 91, of St. Patrick's Drive, Miramichi, passed away on April 27,2003, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Nelson, NB, he was the son of the late Timothy McCarthy and Cecilia Veriker Before is death he was a maintenance man for the former NB Timber Resources. He is survived by his wife, Anna (English); five sons, Fr. Doug McCarthy of Manitoulin Isle, ON, Brian (Isabel) of Lower Sackville, NS, Timothy (Michaeleen) of Nelson, Colin (Jayne) of Lethbridge, Alta, Rick of Miramichi; six grandchildren, Evan, Neal, Megan, Shawn, Thomas and Callie; several nieces and nephews.. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by two sisters, Anna and Margaret; three brothers, Joe, Carl and Leonard. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi on April 30,2003 at 11:00 a.m.Interment in Malcolm Cemetery.
