Douglas Joseph Sumner Etter 1953 - 2003 AULAC, N.B.- Doug Etter, age 49, of Aulac, N.B., passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2003 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, N.B. Born in Sackville, N.B. on December 7, 1953, he was the son of Leonie (Landry) Etter and the late Amos Sumner Etter. Doug is survived by his wife, Karen (Abbott) Etter of Aulac, N.B.; son, Josh Etter and daughter, Amy Etter; his mother, Leonie Etter of Point de Bute, N.B.; godmother, Theresa Jones of Point de Bute, N.B. and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Amos; grandparents, William and Florida Landry and godfather, Edmond Landry. Douglas was in the Canadian Armed Forces for three years and worked as a laborer for most of his life, most recently being employed with the Westmorland Fisheries. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved the outdoors. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request of the family. A memorial service will be held at St. Marks Anglican Church, Mt. Whatley, N.B. on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at 2 PM with Rev. Bob Leblanc officiating. A time of tea and fellowship will follow the service at St. Marks Anglican Church Hall, Mt. Whatley, N.B.with refreshments provided by the ladies of St. Marks Anglican Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doug's memory may be made to the charity of ones choice.
