Nancy Elmire LaRocque, 50 of Halifax, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer, with loving family by her side.
Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Mildred (Lyons) LaRocque.
Nancy worked for Royal Print and Packaging for 25 years and for the past five years worked for the Joseph Howe Superstore.
Nancy was a loving sister who enjoyed reading, camping and “Coronation Streetâ€. A loyal friend, she will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Survived by sister, Mavis LaRocque, Halifax; brother, Allan (Beth) LaRocque; nephew, Christopher (Andrea) LaRocque and Kevin LaRocque, all of Liverpool; great-niece, Jessica and great-nephew, Zachery LaRocque.
As per Nancy’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service at a later date.
