Tilmon Robichaud

Tilmon Robichaud 1910 - 2004 ST. CHARLES, NB - Tilmon Robichaud, 93, husband of the late Yvonne (Maillet) Robichaud passed away at the Rexton Lions Club Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Born in St. Charles, N.B. on March 15, 1910, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Ozélie (Barrieau) Robichaud. He attended the St. Charles Borromée Roman Catholic Church in St. Charles. At a young age he attended the Agricultural College in Fredericton and developed the love of farming. He also worked at building wharfs and for the Department of Transportation. He cherished the progress of his community and worked at the implementation of cooperative movement and the Caisse Populaire of the region. He also served as a member of the School Board, member of the Parish Council, and president of the region and local Club d'Age d'Or du N.B. He is survived by seven daughters, Laura (Odélon) Richard, Richibouctou Village, Yolande (Paul) Daigle, Val Belair Quebec, Alice Robichaud, Moncton, Désanges Doiron, Tracadie-Sheila, Huberte (Rhéal) Caissie, Fredericton, Claudette (Laurent) Caissie, Richibouctou Village, Cécile (James) Blackie, Florenceville; three sons, Alfred (Hermine) Robichaud, St. Charles, Ulysse (Mary Helen) Robichaud, St. Charles, Ellery (Jeannette) Robichaud, Moncton; 32 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two adopted sisters, Auréa (late Benoit) Robichaud, St. Charles, Désanges (Eric) Cormier, St. Anselme; one adopted brother, Frère Ellery LeBlanc, Frère Ste. Croix, Montréal. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by two sons, Antoine (Tony), Jean; one sister, Zelica (Patrice) Daigle; three brothers, Placide, Narcisse and Azade. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Saturday 9:00 am until time of funeral.The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromée Roman Catholic Church, St. Charles on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 11:00 am.
