
Mervyn Lund of Sackville, occurred at the Moncton side
Mervyn Lund SACKVILLE, NB -The death of Mervyn Lund of Sackville, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital, with his family by his side, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Mervyn was in his 70th year. Born in Cookville, NB on September 12, 1934, he was a son of the late Fred and Dorothy (Allen) Lund. Mervyn taught at the St. Andrew's Community College in St. Andrew's New Brunswick for 22 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman as well as a life member of the St. Andrew's Lions Club. Mervyn will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, the former Donna Tower, of Sackville; three sons, Chris (Kimberly) of Ajax, ON, Peter (Cathy), Fredericton, and David (Johanne) of Oakville, ON; his daughter, Dr. Susan (Jonathan) Plomp, Santa Barbara, California; seven grandchildren; one brother, Fred (Sharon), Sackville; one sister, Verna Bercovitz, Laval, PQ and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John and infant sister, Phyllis. A memorial service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) on Monday, March 15, 2004 at 2 pm, Pastor Jay Guptill of Moncton officiating.
