
Leo Chiasson
Leo Chiasson 1920 - 2004 Leo Chiasson, 84, of War Veteran Ave., Moncton, formerly Champlain Street, Dieppe, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Anthime and the late Bernadette Chiasson. Mr. Chiasson was a veteran of WWII, retired as a mechanic and a former parishioner of Ste. Thérèse Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by two daughters, Angela (Ronald) Poirier of Grande Digue, and Linda (John) Jackson of Dartmouth; three sons, Gérald and Jean-Paul, both of Moncton and Léo-Paul of Ottawa; two brothers, Adelard "Freddy" (Jeanne d'Arc) and Henry; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Chiasson was predeceased by his wife, Evangeline in 2002; one sister, Delima and also by one great grandson, Julien. Visitation was held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901 on Sunday and will also be held on Monday from 9:30 am until time of departure. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Ste. Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Monday, August 23, 2004 at 10:30 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
