Carney G. Weir 1931 - 2004 CLAIREVILLE, NB - The death of Carney G. Weir, Rte. 465. Clairville, occurred suddenly at his home on Friday, October 22, 2004. Born in Albert on March 18, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (McAnulty) Weir. Carney had been a mechanic with Lounsbury Company Ltd., Moncton, where he had worked for 25 years until his retirement and was a past Fire Chief of the Riverside-Albert Volunteer Fire Department. Carney is survived by his wife, Florence (nee Boutilier) of Moncton; sons, Gregory (Loretta) of Lower Coverdale, Graydon, Hillsborough, Christopher (Victoria), Stone-Creek, Adrian (Danielle), Riverview and former wife, Eva, of Amherst; step-children, Heather Trites of Moncton, Linwood Ernst of Bridgdale, NS; brothers, Howard (Joan) and Darrell (Kathy), both of Riverside-Albert, Douglas (Linda) and Karl both of Oshawa; sisters, Margaret (Dale) Elliott, Riverside-Albert, Marie (Gordon) Rossiter, Turtle Creek, Donna (Allan) Hayward, Rothesay and Dessie McAnulty of Ottawa; as well as eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was predeceased by son, Graham (Beverly); brothers, Clinton and Garry; sisters, Eleanor (Chesley) Snelgrove, Juanita (Eldon) Butland and granddaughter, Laura. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Monday, October 25 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at 11:00 AM, immediately followed by a reception in the Garden View Family Reception Room.
