Arvilla Wood WOOD POINT, NB - The death of Arvilla Wood, age 87, widow of Beverly Wood, of Wood Point, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 15, 2004. Born in Johnson Mills, she was a daughter of the late Alpheus and Lucinda (Tower) Read. Arvilla was a member of the Wood Point Baptist Church, the Women's Missionary Society and The Sackville Senior Citizens Club. Arvilla will be sadly missed by her three sons, Vincent (Marie) Sackville, Peter (Linda) and Tony (Jennifer) both of Wood Point; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren; three sisters, Marjorie Kay, Moncton, Virginia Sweet, Riverview and Alice Hicks of Truro, NS. She was predeceased by her husband, Beverly in 1999; an infant son, Austin; brothers, William, Kenneth, Rupert, John, George and Angus; sisters, Orpha, Elaine and Mary; half-brothers, Brenton, Frank, Bert and Vincent. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Saturday from 4 until 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 2 pm. Rev. Douglas Campbell officiating. Burial in the Westcock Cemetery.
