Elaine W. Weir 1940 - 2005 COLPITTS SETTLEMENT, NB - Elaine W. Weir, 64, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2005. Born in Moncton, she was the adopted daughter of the late Roy and Helen (Russell) Lutes. Elaine was a homemaker, and enjoyed embroidery, knitting and crafts, her greatest love was raising children. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Tweedie and her husband Duane of Allison, NB; five sons, Mark Lutes (Wendy) of Turtle Creek, Stephen Blades of Colpitts Settlement, Michael Lutes (Serena) Saint Thomas, ON; Chris Weir of Coverdale and Wesley Weir (Karin) of Coverdale; four granddaughters,Taylor, Samantha, Chelsey and Savana; one grandson, Jesse; siblings, Bill Lutes (Reta) of Riverview, Kenneth Lutes (Bonnie) of Salisbury, Boyd Wilkins (Marion) of Hillsborough, Roy Wilkins (Edie) of Ontario, Karen West (Ed) of Grimsby, ON, Keith Wilkins and Wayne Wilkins, both of Hillsborough and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her adopted parents, she was predeased by her birth mother Rena Wilkins, her husband, Guy Weir on October 24, 1993 and by siblings Richard, Eldon "Bud", Jackie and Frances. Visitation is at the Riverview Funeral Home, Pine Glen Road on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 from 7 to 9pm and on Wednesday, January 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 1:30pm with Rev. John Menink officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends in the reception area of the funeral home immediately following the service. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Elaine's memory made to the Diabetic Association or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
