Mrs. Clara L. Croft 1926 - 2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Clara Louise Croft, widow of the late Raymond Croft, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Tait Street, Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at the age of 78. Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Muriel (MacDonald) Curtis. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home; a member of St. Marys Anglican Church; a member of the A.C.W.; a member of the Sanctuary Guild; a member of the Silver Link Rebecca Lodge, Miramichi. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Croft, of Miramichi; two sons, Arthur Croft (Carole) and David Croft (Nicole), all of Miramichi; two sisters, Grace Mills, of Miramichi and Jean Jamer, of British Columbia; four grandchildren, Bonnie, Sandra, Dana and Raymond; one sister-in-law, Mabel Hill, of Clearwater, Florida; one brother-in-law, Don Cuming, of Gondola Point; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond in 1967; her foster parents, George and Melissa Harris; one brother, Harrison Curtis; one foster sister, Cora Curtis; one sister-in-law, Byrdie Goodfellow. By her request, there will be no visiting at the funeral home. Following cremation, the public are invited to a memorial service at St. Marys Anglican Church, Miramichi, on Monday, April 4, 2005, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Alan Reynolds. Interment will be in St. Pauls Anglican Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
