Robert "Bob" Nelson Steeves 1935 - 2005 EDGETT'S LANDING, NB - Robert "Bob" Steeves, 69, of Edgett's Landing passed away peacefully on April 10, 2005 at The Moncton City Hospital with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born in Edgett's Landing on October 24, 1935 the son of the late Ruthledge and Marjorie (Gaw) Steeves. He worked as a Service Technician for Sears for over 25 years until his retirement. He was known throughout Albert County as the person to call for help when any appliances needed repaired. He had a quiet demeanor and was always there when needed with a smile. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and fourwheeling. He spent a lot of time in his garage and took great pride in his antique tractor, giving his grandchildren rides in the yard. He was a devoted husband, dad and a very special Papa to his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He was a small man with a very big heart. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Doris (Bennett) Steeves; his daughters, Joanne Frazee (Steven) of Hillsborough and Nancy LeBlanc (Craig) of Riverview; son, Terry Steeves of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Cheryl (Steeves) Layton of Albert Mines; sisters, Jean Snelgrove (Ronald) of Hillsborough and Elizabeth "Betty" Sears of Halifax; half-sister, Bonnie Harrison of Moncton; and half-brother, Roger Steeves of Ontario; his precious grandchildren, Whitney, Lauren, Caitlin, Rachel, Vanessa, Meghan, Tyler, Alexandria and Nicole. He will also be missed by several brothers-in-law, sisters-inlaw, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son, Tim; brothers, James and John; and sister-in-law, Kathryn. Honoring Bob's own wishes there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at 2:30 pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating. Interment will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape. Immediately following the service the family will be meeting relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and refreshments at the funeral home. Donations to the Lower Cape Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape, 734-2780.
