Edith I. MacDonald 1926 - 2005 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Edith Isabel MacDonald, widow of the late Alfred J. MacDonald, of Miramichi Bay, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, May 23, 2005, at the age of 78. Born in Bayside, she was the daughter of the late Colin and Margaret (MacDonald) Fraser. She was a homemaker and attended St. Michaels By The Sea Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi Bay. She was a member of Branch # 3, Ladies Auxillary, Royal Canadian Legion; a member of the Board for the Bay du Vin Haven; a member of the Bay du Vin Bridge Club; a member of the former Bay du Vin W.I.; a former member of the Miramichi Recrecation Club. She is survived by four daughters, Lynn Peers (Ron), of New Glasgow, NS, Cheryl Martin (Yo), of Black River Bridge, Judy Adams, of Miramichi and Wendy O'Donnell (Ray), of Glenwood; three sons, Donald (Judy), Randy (Beverley),and Kevin (Kelly), all of Miramichi Bay; eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Opal Dick, of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred, in 2001; and one brother, Bernard Fraser. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Tuesday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels By The Sea Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi Bay, on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at 11 am, with Father John Keoughan and Father Claude Daigle officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital, the N.B. Heart & Stroke Foundation, or any charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
