Joseph Silliker; children, Donald Silliker and Pam Roberts, Moncton, Heather Silliker, Patricia Fox, Colpitts Settlement, Helga and Dan Fougere, Moncton and Charlotte Silliker and Len Vautour, Shediac. Her cherished grandchildren, Shannon Fougere of Ottawa and Craig Fougere of Moncton. Shannon was able to spend a few days with Nana in June. Her brother, Kensil and Joyce Berg of Maple Ridge, BC. Kensil was home the month of June and had some wonderful visits with Dorothy; and brother-in-law, Donald Hill of London, Ont. Her parents, Herbert and Bessie Berg of Port Elgin and Harrisville and a beloved sister, Helen Hill, predeceased her. Dorothy was an accomplished painter, photographer and loved needlework, especially quilting. She was a member of the Greater Moncton Quilt Guild, Thimbleberries, Chocolate River and the Thursday group that spent many afternoons in Dorothy's Quilt Room. She enjoyed the annual quilting retreat in Richibucto and this year was particularly nice for Mom. After retiring from the Moncton City Hospital, Residence Supervisor, Dorothy and Joe enjoyed several winters in Florida. Mom loved to travel and saw all of Canada, Hawaii, and a special trip to Norway with Helen and several trips to Europe. The family cottage in Caissie Cape is a very special place for the family and as children we couldn't wait for the "orange basket" to be packed. In our later years Sundays were always reserved for the cottage and Thanksgiving dinner marked the end of another season. Mom loved watching the sun rise over the water and enjoyed her flower gardens. At Dorothy's request there will be no visiting hours and in lieu of flowers please donate to the cause that is special to you. A brief family Memorial service will be held. All are invited to attend a reception in the Garden View Reception Room at Fair Haven Funeral Home, on Thursday, July 14 at 3:30 pm.
