C. Edward Hicks 1935 - 2005 C. Edward Hicks, of Riverview, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the age of 69 years. Born in Bouctouche, NB on October 4, 1935 he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Smith) Hicks. He retired in 1998 from Fundy National Park where he worked in plumbing. He attended Trinity United Church in Riverview, and was a former member of The Moncton Curling Club. He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Simmons); step daughters, Judith (Martin) Brain of Belleville, ON, and Susan (Cary) MacDonald of Upper Coverdale, NB; step sons, Michael Ryder (Janet MacArthur) of Summerside, PE, and Ian (Nancy) Ryder of Woodstock, NB; step grandchildren, Jena (Kevin) Scott of Lake Louise, AB, Michael Brain of Belleville, ON, Jeremy Ryder of Calgary, AB, Jackie and Lauren Ryder of Summerside, PE, Andrew, Patrick, and Sarah Ryder of Woodstock, NB, and Eric and Scott MacDonald of Upper Coverdale, NB; great granddaughter Mikaela Scott of Lake Louise, AB; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Leora Killen; also, by his first wife, June Marshall Hicks in 1980. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd on Saturday, August 6, 2005 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. There will be a reception following the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Edwards memory, donations made to The Trinity United Church or to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family .
