Zella Day-Luce 1912 - 2005 The death of Zella Leita Day-Luce, 93 years, widow of the late Stanley DayLuce, of The Kinsman House, Cameron Street, Moncton occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Bouctouche, NB July 9, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eliza (Rice) Smith. For many years Mrs. Day-Luce was the House Mother at the Moncton Hospital School of Nursing, Nursing Residence. She attended St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Moncton. She is survived by her son, Bill DayLuce (Doris) of Grande Barachois; three granddaughters, Lynn Day-Luce (Marcel Ouellette) of Montreal, Kellie Graham (Dwayne) of Calgary, AB and Janice Day-Luce (Derek Parker) of Montreal; five great grandchildren, Andrea, Nicholas, Olivia, Justin and Autumn; two nieces, Wanda Jonah (Harold) of Hillsborough and Betty Haley (Doug) of Kingston, Ontario; as well as several grand nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her husband, Stanley in 1975; her sisters, Greta Ivany, Margaret Smith, Maude Wilbur and Doris Whitney; her brothers, Bill, Borden and Allie. Funeral Service, conducted by Rev. Rob Salloum, will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 2pm in Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110), 114 Alma Street, Moncton with visiting from 1 pm to time of service, followed by a reception in the reception room of the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
