Georgina (Georgie) Della Matthews MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Georgina (Georgie) Della Matthews wife of the late Thorne Matthews, formerly of Newcastle, occurred on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home at the age of 91. Born in Lyttleton, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Eunice (Silliker) Tozer. Georgina is survived by one daughter, Joan Walls (Winsor) of Calgary, AB; two grandsons, Hayward (Dawn) and Brad; two great grandchildren, Logan and Kali. Georgina came from of family of 18 who have all predeceased her. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from the Little Southwest Baptist Church in Sillikers, NB on Wednesday at 2 PM with Pastor Wilbur Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Southwest Baptist Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Little Southwest Baptist Church, Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home or to a memorial of one's choice.
