Theresa Doucette MELROSE, NB - The death of Theresa Doucette, age 85, of Melrose, NB, occured at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday, December 25, 2005. Born in Barronsfield, NS, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Mary (White) Burbine. During World War II, she worked as a seamstress making uniforms in Amherst. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church, Melrose. Theresa will be sadly missed by her three sons, Bruce, Salisbury, Leonard (Elaine), Rustico, PEI and Gardiner (Susan), Melrose; three daughters, Cheryl Doucette, Melrose, Mary Lou (Douglas) Gallant, Rustico, PEI and JoAnne (Ted) Carroll, Melrose; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a sister, Louise LeBlanc, Amherst. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. in 1994; brothers, Elmer, Wilfred, Leo and Stanley; sisters, Ella, Martha and Mabel; and granddaughter, Jessica. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Port Elgin, NB (364-1300) with visitation Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Father Allison Carroll at St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church, Melrose on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 11 am. Burial in the Parish Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Palliative Care or a charity of the donor's choice. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
