Robert 'Robbie' Louis John Galliah MIRAMICHI, NB - Robert 'Robbie' Louis John Galliah, died on Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital in Miramichi, New Brunswick. He was 44 years of age. Born on April 25, 1962 in Chatham, Robert 'Robbie' Galliah is survived by his father, Louis John J. Galliah; his mother, Angela D. Galliah; his wife, Margaret (Pratico) Galliah; his three children, Tyler P. Galliah, Marissa A. Galliah, and Justin R. Galliah; his sister, Carmen A. Moar (wife of John 'Jay' Moar); three nephews, Joshua A. Moar, Jeremy N. Moar and Cole B. Moar; two uncles, Raymond Deredin and Wallace Galliah and five aunts, Mary Phyllis (Deredin) Martin, Catherine E. (Deredin) Trevors, Dolores W. (Deredin) McDermaid, Helen (Galliah) Wiginton, Leona (Galliah) Bauer and Carole (Galliah) Huggard. He is pre-deceased by his four grandparents, John J. Galliah, Alma (O'Kane) Deredin-Galliah, Joseph Murray Galliah and Elodia (Robichaud) Galliah; his three uncles, Wilbur J. Deredin, George Galliah and William A. Galliah and his two aunts, Beatrice (Galliah) McKinnon and Theresa K. (Galliah) Adair. He was employed at U.P.M. as a lab technician for over 18 years. He was a piper and member of the Miramichi Celtic Pipes and Drums. He was an avid chess player and a founder of the Miramichi Chess Club. He wrote a great deal of bagpipe music and loved to paint. He attended the University of New Brunswick in the Bachelor of Science program. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Miramichi Council 1219. The funeral arrangements are under the care of Maher's Funeral Home, 35 University Avenue, Miramichi,N.B.. He will be waked on Thursday, July 6, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7th, at Saint Michael the Archangel Basilica in Miramichi. He will be interred following cremation in Saint Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Miramichi. The family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Fund in lieu of flowers.
