Elizabeth M. Brett 1912-2006 Elizabeth Brett, 94, of Riverview, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 14th 2006. Born in Parrsboro, NS, on October 5th, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Edmond H. and Effie M. (Pugsley) Henderson. In her younger days, Beth loved to garden, sew for her family, dance, and was a life long fan of crossword puzzels and country music. Beth is survived by her daughters, Shirley Taylor (Alvin) of Niagra Falls, ON, Elaine McLatchey (Ralph) of Cobourg, ON, Margaret Brett of Riverview, Elizabeth Shorten (Nick) of Brockville, ON, Cynthia Hoffman (Rick) of Cobourg, ON; a son, Malcolm Brett (Patrice) of Quispamsis; brother, Arthur Henderson (Barbara) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter in law, Shirley Higgs of Coverdale, 17 grandchildren as well as many great grand children, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by husbands, Edward Higgs in 1942 and Malcolm G. Brett 1988; son, Douglas Higgs; sister, Ruth Cullen; and brother, Fred Henderson. In keeping with Beth's wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private family service will be held. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
