Stanley William Brown 1916-2006 AMHERST, N.S - Stanley William Brown of Fox Ranch Road, Amherst, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006 at home where he resided with his daughter and son in law. Born in New Salem, N.S. on December 23, 1916, he was a son of the late Harding and Lillin (Bowlsby) Brown. Stanley was a carpenter by trade and for the last 14 years of his career he was employed at Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Stanley is survived by two daughters Mary (Doug) Allen of British Columbia and Beverly (Orin) Robertson of Fox Ranch Road, Amherst, one son Stephen of Truemanville, eleven grandchildren Mary Jane (Ross) McNary, Donna (Kevin) Kennedy, Gennyne (Ron) Sharpe, Hod Allen, Bernadette (Rod) Wells, Stanley (Mary) Robertson, Philip Robertson, Lorraine (Murray) McCormick and Ryan, Robin and Randy Brown, eleven great grandchildren Casey Kennedy, Jeffrey, Katie and Mark McNary, Jalice, Travis, Mikelle and Marcia Sharpe, Ryley and Andrew Wells and Lauranna Brown and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife the former Mary Trueman six sisters Eva Brown, Gertie Sheck, Dora Chase, Hilda West, Minnie Cook and Helen Weldon and two brothers Bradford and Robert. His remains are resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 11 a.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Mr. Gordon Hazelwood and Mr. William Bryant officiating.
