Rev A.D. Cann 1914 - 2007 With sadness the family of Rev. Adelbert Durkee Cann announces his death on Christmas Day at his residence Autumn Lee Retirement Home, Mountain Road Moncton. Husband of the late Zora Mae (Hicks) he was born in Gardner's Mills, Yarmouth Co. NS on October 9th 1914 he was the son of the late Thomas and Grace (Crosby) Cann. Rev. Cann was an ordained minister with the Wesleyan Church having pastorates in Westchester, NS, Hartland, NB, Yarmouth, NS, Seal Cove, Grand Manan, NB, Blacks Harbour, NB, Sussex, NB, Liverpool, NS and Pleasant Valley, NS. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he is survived by his sons, Philip (Jackie) of Miramichi, John (Susan) of Moncton, Stephen (Marilyn) of Grand Bay, his daughters Beth (Burton) Dykeman of Fredericton, Mary (Steward) Ellis of Port Maitland, NS and Becky (James) Zurbriggen of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. He is also survived by 16 grand children, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Resting at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street Moncton with visiting hours on Friday December 28th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. His funeral service will be on Saturday December 29th at 2 pm at the Moncton Wesleyan Church, St George Blvd. Moncton followed by a reception. Interment will be in the Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Havelock in the spring. Donations in Rev Cann's memory made to Bethany Bible College, the Moncton Wesleyan Church or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
