Raymond Surette Raymond Surette, 80, of Moncton, formerly of Dieppe, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Dr G.-L. Dumont Hospital following a brief illness. Born May 20, 1927 in Leger's Corner, he was the son of the late Christophe and Matilda (Arsenault) Surette. He was a retired Carmen and supervisor at CN with 38 years service, a former school councillor, municipal councillor for the town of Dieppe, and past member of the Dieppe Industrial Park Commission. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Rita (Boudreau) Surette; his four loving children, Christophe (Louise LeBreton) of Dieppe, Debby (Mike Arsenault) of Dalhousie, Louie (Denise Cormier) of Cocagne, and Marc of Hunter River, PE; nine grandchildren, Céline, Andrée, Michelle, Danielle, Françoise, Jean-Christophe, Lise, Josée, and Madeleine; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emma, and Marrec; two sisters, Jeannette Belliveau of Moncton, and Marie Russell (Reginald) of Dalhousie. He is predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Marguerite Melanson, Eva Matheson, Aurella Davidson, Frank, and Thomas Surette. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Monday, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
