Leola I. MacKinnon Leola I. MacKinnon, 88, of The Briarlea, Moncton and formerly of Riverview and The Glades, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, June 23, 2008. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Gladys (Coram) Bannister. Leola was a former employee of the Jordan Memorial Sanitorium and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Church. Leola enjoyed her stay at The Briarlea where she met many new friends. She enjoyed reading, was an excellent cook, but first and foremost was her love and devotion to her grandchildren. Leola will be sadly missed by her son, Peter Graham (Heather), Colpitts Settlement; grandsons, Thomas, Michael and Bruce Graham; stepchildren, Audrey McAllister (Harvey), Reginald Graham (Juanita), Dawn Watson, Roberta McCabe (Richard), Robert MacKinnon (Maryellen); step grandchildren, Pamela Murphy (John), David McAllister (Roxanne), Jennifer McCabe, Ian McCabe (Rebecca); step great grandchildren, James, Grace; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Thomas Graham and Reginald MacKinnon; stepson, Oakley Graham. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday, 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm.
