Shirley Goobie The death of Shirley Goobie of Rothesay, NB, wife of Eldon Goobie, occurred on Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Montreal, PQ on February 19, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Jack Chesley and Doris Ellis. Besides her husband she is survived by her two sons, Mark (Elaine) of Dartmouth, NS; John (Sharon) of Riverview, NB; two daughters, Linda (Fred) Nelson of Rothesay, NB; Trina Wilson of Saint John, NB; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents and brother, Allison Chesley. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held form Brenan's Chapel on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Interment in Maces Bay Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
