Louis Bourgeois 1924 - 2008 Moncton - Louis Bourgeois, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on August 9th at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Notre-Dame de Kent on June 20th, 1924, he was the son of the late Honoré Bourgeois and the late Justine Bourque. He was employed at Leby's Interior Fixtures in Moncton. He was a member of Notre-Dame-de-la Paix Roman Catholic Church in Moncton and the Club d'ge d'Or in Dieppe. Louis will be sadly missed by his wife, Yvonne (Caissie) Bourgeois and his two daughters, Denise (Bernard Chenard) of Mont Joli, Qc and Odette (Ronald Fougère) of Shediac Bridge. Besides his wife and daughters, he is survived by two brothers, Hervé (Rosa) of Notre-Dame, Ernest (Eva) of Moncton; two sisters, Sr. Doris Bourgeois (NDSC) and Rhéa (Omer Gaudet) both of Moncton; one sister-in-law, Edmée Bourgeois (late Thomas) of Moncton; four granddaughters, Isabelle and Sophie Chenard and Annik and Marcia Fougère. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas. Resting at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber room in Notre-Dame de Kent, visiting hours will be on Monday, August 11th, from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday, August 12th from 2 until the funeral service which will be held at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church at 4pm.
