Carroll, Pearl Frances - 1921 - 2009 - Pearl Carroll passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at The Briarlea in Moncton at the age of 87. Pearl was the daughter of the late Fred and Hazel (Hall) McLeod and wife of the late Emerson Carroll. Pearl taught school in Moncton for many years, the longest being at Prince Edward School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Moncton, and a life member of the Gideon Society. Pearl will be remembered for her gift of hospitality. Pearl is survived by her nieces and nephew, Susan Burke, Bob McLeod, Katherine Duncan, Elizabeth Matson and their families; her sisters-in-law, Marjorie McLeod, Ortha Matthews, Myrtle Buxtin, Luetta Steeves and their families; as well as several McLeod and Hall cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Pearl was predeceased by her brother, Arnold McLeod and her nephew, Stephen. Visitation with the family will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd., Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
