1950 - 2008 Glace Bay We the family of Howard W. MacLeod age 58 of Glace Bay deeply regret to announce his sudden passing on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008. Born in Glace Bay he was the son of Pauline (Jewer) and the late John A. MacLeod. Howard was employed with Devco from 1977 to 1995. He loved to fish and go to the country. Recently he was thrilled to be a relief driver with Sameday/Right-O-Way. He leaves to mourn his mother Pauline MacLeod, wife of 35 years, Barb (McDougall) and sons, Scott (Muriel) and Nathan (Nicole). His pride and joy grandchildren, Logan and Paige MacLeod and Noah MacLeod. Also surviving are brothers, John, Bernie, Troy - all of Glace Bay, Darrell, Calgary; sisters, Barbara Jean, Moncton, Florence, Debbie, Brenda and Cheri- all of Glace Bay; mother-in-law, Gloria McDougall. Visitation for Howard MacLeod will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Warden United Church, Glace Bay with Rev. Clayton Austin officiating. Cremation will follow.
