Rebecca MacLeod, 89, of Lakeview Manor, Riverview, NB and formerly of People's Park Tower, Moncton, NB, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2008. Born in Moose Jaw, Sask, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Christina (Morrison) MacLennan. Rebecca will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, June Oke, Moncton, NB, Victor MacLeod (Carolyn), Jackson's Point, Helen Patterson (Will), Riverview, NB; seven grandchildren, Helen, Frederick, Karen, Alexander, Christine, Donald, and Susan; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Lois, Lorraine, and Vera; brother, David; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her former husband, Alex; step-mother Gladys; sisters, Lila, Mona, and Jean. No visitation by personal request. A celebration of life service and love of Rebecca will be held Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, 1:30 p.m., at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB (506-858-1995). Reception following the service. Interment, Big Bras d'Or Cemetery, Cape Breton.
