Long, Albert Alexander
The passing of Albert Alexander Long, husband of Olive M. (Brown) Long, of Priceville, NB, occurred on March 2, 2010 at Central New Brunswick Nursing Home, Boiestown, NB. Born on November 11, 1917 in McNamee, NB, he was a son of the late Theodore Alexander and Nellie Maude (Lyons) Long.
Besides his wife, Albert is survived by his daughters, Flossie Enman (Roger) of Mazerolle Settlement, NB and Flora Gerbrandt (Ron) of Calgary, AB; sons, Bonner (Laura Mae) of Priceville, NB, Melvin (Sherri) of Calgary, AB and Edwin (Louise) of Priceville, NB; foster son, Stephen Peterson (Nancy) of Chipman, NB; 11 grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Grace Hovey and Amanda Long.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi Valley Funeral Home’s Chapel on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Mike Trail officiating and Rev. Hayward Stewart assisting. Interment will take place at Ludlow United Baptist Church Cemetery, Ludlow, NB at a later date.
